Update on the babies...

Well Taylor and Tyler are doing well. Taylor got an infection a few days ago. But he's doing so much better now. We got to hold him for the first time since he got sick the other day, and he was so active...which is a great sign! Tyler is still trucking along strong and catching up to his brother. They're both gaining weight now!
We spent Christmas at Duane's family's house. His WHOLE family was there and I know he loved it. It was a little hard for me. No one ever really tells you that you can get all sad and mopey after a pregnancy!! But that's pretty much over now. I wished would have taken pictures over there of him and his family to post.

So the babies made their way into this world one week ago today! Surprise Surprise! Haven't been able to reach a computer until today. But Tyler and Taylor are doing wonderful. They are both off of oxygen and are breathing well on their own. Taylor is eating 18 ml every feeding and tyler is eating 15 ml. We got to hold them for the first time yesterday (pictures above), and it was wonderful. Darren and Katie have more on their page...www.dkbritt.blogspot.com.

Thanksgiving in Arkansas

Well it's our last drive until the babies come. We drove to Arkansas to spend a couple of days with my family. Duane had to help my dad pour cement. It looked like so much fun lol. And I got to continue my "laying on the couch on my left side." Bla bla bla. Ya know, I am so ready to get these babies out!! If I lift a fingure, Duane scolds me telling me I'm doing to much. :) I have to admit that I do love his attention...but I'd love to just go grocery shopping again! This past weekend Loyd Star held a baby shower for me. It was so much fun. The babies got so much! Lots of diapers and clothes. Nothing has really been going on though. Duane in school and me telling Duane how to decorate the babies room. That's about it. Hope everyone else's lives are a little more exciting.

BOYS and TOYS!

Sorry it took so long, but we're having two boys!!! Now was it really a surprise? Everyone knows Britt's like boys! Tyler is one pound one ounce and Taylor is one pound. And they fight like cats and dogs in there. I'm very happy to report that they're both growing very well and look very healthy!

FINALLY!

I am so disappointed! I won't get my ultrasound done until October 24th! I was suppose to get it done early this morning, but Duane just couldn't skip ONE class!! The next appointment available was Friday the 24th. I guess I can wait to find out what gender Taylor is. What's another couple of weeks, right? Oh wait, it's killing me! I am not the most patient person in the world. So that's the date that we'll all know what the other twin is. Let's hope I don't go crazy waiting.

Leaving Arkansas

Well, I'm leaving to go home today. I'm really going to miss my family. It's kinda weird, because when I first get here I get headaches because my family is so young and loud. Then I get use to it. Then I leave and go back to quiet and calm. The thing is, I actually enjoy the loudness...after the initial headache haha. I can't wait to have the twins. Anyway, it's been fun. Samuel won his soccer game Saturday. That was a lot of fun! I got into the yelling and cheering from the sidelines, kids kicking the ball in the other team's faces (that was pretty fun...sounds bad...but ya had to be there), and you could follow the game. I can say I like soccer now. Then we all went to the movies, shopping for baby stuff, played a little basketball and more video games with the brothers, and my sister and I went bowling with her boyfriend. I broke my camera bowling. It made me sick. I dropped it and bent the zoom thingy. The first time it was my turn to bowl, my fingers got stuck in to ball and I couldn't let go. Then the second time, I did release, but I released BACKWARDS!! It was so embarrassing!!!! It's always an adventure with my family. I have some pictures from everything yesterday, but I don't have them printed. I'll post them in a couple of weeks.

Family weekend fun

I drove to Arkansas this weekend to spend time with my family. It's been fun so far. I went to my brother Samuel's soccer practice last night and we went out to dinner, me and my mom went baby shopping today, and I've been playing a LOT of video games. Duane couldn't come b/c of work and school, too bad. He's usually the one playing the video game haha. But I finally have a scanner, so I'm posting some pictures. I forgot a lot at home so I'll post those when we go to Mr. Jerry's for Halloween. But here are some of our Flordia pictures to look at. Disney world was so much fun! We went to the Magic Kingdom and spent 12 hours. Long day. It was my second time to go, so we got to watch the parade and fireworks show. I can't wait to take the twins there in a couple of years!! I'll add a few wedding photos in here, too. Like I said, I'm slacking in the photo area this time, so I'll add more later.

Since I have a post now....

Here in the apartment complex I don't have access to scan pictures, so I'll have to do it all at my mom's and Duane's mom's houses. Sorry. Well, right now Duane is going to school and working at Walgreen's as a pharmacy tech. I am working full-time at AT&T. I am quiting October 28th!!! I cannot wait! We're still getting use to Oxford, but I am loving the convenience of city life. Do miss the quietness of country living though. No one drove past our home at midnight blasting rap music. I suppose there are ups and downs to everything. Our apartment is pretty much moved into, we do have a baby room to decorate though. We're having twins! It's our first, and we are definitely excited. Their due date is March 2nd, although they may not make it that far. We're shooting for February. We found out one is a boy, but the other wouldn't let us see what it is. We'll have a 3D ultrasound done here shortly and hopefully find out then. Their names are Tyler and Taylor. I'll get some photos posted soon!
