So the cutest thing happened the other night. The boys fell asleep holding each other's hands! This was a major thing because Tyler is ALWAYS hitting Taylor. I'm talking about slaps in the face and some major kicking. But if you look closely you can see their fingers intertwined! It was so sweet.

So the babies have been home for almost a month now and I think I'm getting the hang of things. It was difficult to keep the babies, clean the house, and cook dinners. So the women from church offered to bring dinners and some would even help with a feeding here and there. My good friends Kristen and Katie come over often...thank goodness for them. I really like the ward we're in, everyone is so friendly. They don't seem to mind that I'm a bit shy and hardly have much to say. I'm excited for April when I can take the boys out of the house. If it weren't for Mandy, Cindy, Kristen, Katie, and other's willingness to come by I would be going out of my mind!

So Duane is doing really well. He's cut back on his hours at work to be able to spend a little more time home with me and the babies. He hated that he didn't get much quality time with us. So that's been nice. And extra hand to do dishes, and feedings, and diaper changes. But our favorite time is bath time b/c the babies love it. They can be screaming and as soon as u put them in the tub they hush. Blaine introduce Duane to an online game, and he's loving that. I loves the fact that he's able to play with his brothers. He doesn't like being so far away from them. But Darren and Katie are coming up in a week...and we're both so excited. Last time they came up I went into labour. Don't worry Darren, I won't make you change a diaper! And hopefully this summer we can make a trip to Blaine and Amber's.

As for me...I offically smell like spit up!! Just wait Jill, invest in some burp rags! I really enjoy being a mother. I wish I didn't have to wait as long as I did...but I'm glad there here now. They're so much fun. So here are some more pictures of our babies!

Both boys are finally home! And let me tell ya...they keep me busy!! They're so much fun and so sweet. Everyone keeps commenting on how much personality the already have...but they've had major personality since they were born. Tyler is demanding and outgoing and loud...Taylor is laid back and quiet and satisfied. I wish everyone could meet them!!

Tyler is HOME! He came home Wednesday. Taylor is still working getting off the oxygen mask that isn't even blowing oxygen...he just needed the mask on his nose. Doc says it reminded him to breath. He's been without it for two days and has to stay of for seven to make it home. I'll be able to keep up with the blogging better here soon because Blaine told Duane where to buy a computer and Duane bought a computer. Guess he got tired of having to use the one at the apartments main office for schooling lol. Having Tyler home is a lot of work. He's a sleep all day play all night baby. But that's okay. I just sleep during the day now too. Please keep Taylor in your prayers so my second baby can come home.

Hermits in Hiding

Sometimes Duane and I feel like hermits. I think we've almost managed to cut ourselves from the outside world. We hardly ever talk to or see anyone...on purpose! Babies, babies, babies is all we think about these days. Speaking of babies...hear are some more pictures :)! They're doing okay still. A little sick right now, but they're tough. Tyler's been scheduled to come home Tuesday rather than Sunday...hopefully. Taylor...we don't know yet.

Okay so good news first:

Tyler: He is bottle feeding now! Usually they let a baby feed with a bottle twice a day for a while, every other feeding for a while, and then every feeding if he does well. You should know that a Britt boy is going to do well at eating! Tyler surprised everyone when he sucked down a bottle in 15 minutes rather than the usual 30-45 minutes. He drank a bottle twice a day for one day, every other feeding for one day, and now he's eating every time from the bottle. And we gave him his first bath the other day! He loved it.

Now for the not so good news:

Taylor: He is still doing good. The doctor says he is doing normal things and needing normal things done. So he was sick with an infection, and that's over now. But do you see how chunky the boy is? It's fluid that was seeping into his lungs and swelling him up...he has a heart murmur that is seeming not to be closing up on its own, and he has a low blood count that required a blood transfusion yesterday. They gave him lasix for the fluid, and he's had really wet diapers. Good sign. And the heart murmur...they're going to "wait it out." Again, the doc said these were normal preemie things and that Tyler's just odd for not having to go through the same things. That's what I keep reminding myself anyway.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

This is Tyler

This is Taylor

So Duane and I have been the busiest that we've ever been in our lives and we don't even have the babies home. Duane has been studying for the PCAT that he has to take at the end of January. He's been working...trying to get extra hours. He also is cub scout master at church, so that takes care of his Wednesdays. He has found an outlet of reading. Of all the six years I've known him, I've never seen him be so into reading! I am doing more of a repetious routine. I express milk for the babies...GOBS of milk! They actually asked me to stop bringing milk b/c they think they have enough for the remainder of their stay. So our freezer is full! Then I try to scrap book. Then I get ready for the hour drive to Tupelo. The baby visit takes up on average 3-4 hours of our day. Make dinner, do laundry, and clean house. And ya know what? I LOVE IT! I can't wait until they come home so it can be more...so I can do more. The twins are doing great. Taylor is up to 3lbs. 7oz. and Tyler is at 3lbs. 5oz. The doctor told us they're going to try bottle finding within the next couple of days!! Open crib here we come!!! Taylor has cronic lung disease due to premie lungs that will hopefully clear up on its own, but he does require a little bit of oxygen for the time being. Tyler is a poop machine...literally! Every time they change him he always has a surprise. He will actually scoot his diaper down to his knees and show off his booty...and also mess up his bed.
